simple designs and low maintenance make
them ideal choices for professional and
outdoor photography, birding, and other
optical and instrument applications. They
are known to transmit less vibration than
equivalent metal tripods, do not transmit
static electricity, are slow to warm up in
direct sunlight, and do not freeze in cold
climates (no fingers stuck to the metal,
ouch!). The tripods are
manufactured in Germany of select ash wood
which has been dried and aged for over two
years. The wood surfaces are coated with
several layers of protective varnish to
