What is photobooksonline?
We are an online resource for photographers and repair technicians looking for information on maintaining and repairing photographic equipment. We have been selling reprinted manuals for over 25 years with the support and encouragement of many manufacturers who cannot support old, long discontinued materials.

What is a repair manual?
A repair manual shows the repair technician how to take apart, clean, lubricate, fix cameras, shutters, lenses and projectors.

Do you offer your manuals in pdf format?
We are aware of the convenience of pdf but it is not a service we offer.

How are your manuals produced?
Our repair manuals are printed from the factory repair manual. We use state-of-the-art black and white printers which scan the page and produce black & white laser copies. This is not your typical self-serve Xerox copier you find at an office supply store. Each page is corrected for density and printed double-sided on 20 lb. white stock.

Most have schematics, teardown illustrations, exploded views (photographs or drawings) and/or parts list. Standard size is 8-1/2"x11" (210x278mm) and in some manuals there are 11"x17" fold-out pages. Most are printed double-sided and feature heavyweight card stock covers, clear plastic overleaf and a deluxe comb binding.

Yes, we ship to international destinations but due to delivery problems, we will no longer ship to the following countries: China, Indonesia, Philippines, Russian Federation, Mexico.

What is the processing time for an item?
The processing time is the length of time needed to get an order ready to ship. We normally ship in 2 to 5 business days from receipt of payment. Weekends and U.S. holidays are excluded.

How do I pay with PayPal?
You will need a PayPal account. Please visit our Checkout page where you will see step-by-step instructions for ordering. We accept payment in U.S. dollars.

Who pays for customs fees?
When a package ships internationally, the buyer is responsible for paying the additional costs such as duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees. These charges can vary widely and are often based on the price and type of item, package weight and dimensions, and country of origin.

How to track your order?
We will email you tracking information so you can check your item when it will arrive. You can check the shipping status of your order at www.usps.com. Go to the bottom of their home page, click on Site Map and click to Track and Manage.

Why wasn't tracking information provided for my order?
Not all international postal shipping methods including tracking. Only Registered Mail and Priority Mail include tracking information. First Class Package International does not. We will email you the Customs Barcode receipt number for your package.
